Atlanta Streets Alive _The Route_June 9-2019

On Sunday, June 9, the Atlanta Bicycle Coalition is activating our longest route yet! We’re combining our Eastside and Westside routes into one slightly audacious and delightfully cohesive Atlanta Streets Alive Cross-City, activating DeKalb Avenue and Decatur Street all the way to Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road.

But, wait. There’s even more in store for our June activation! Not to miss out on the fun and connectivity, the City of Decatur will launch its first Open Streets by adding West Howard Avenue to the mix, bringing the newest edition of Atlanta Streets Alive to almost 10 miles. You’ll be able to roll or walk all the way from Underwood Hills to Decatur! We’re going to need more time for this one, so we’re extending it to six hours of open streets, from 2:00pm to 8:00pm.

KICKOFF PARADE

The fun kicks off at the junction of Marietta Street and Howell Mill Road where you can join in the official opening of the street followed by a parade of the route. Parade lineup is at 1:30pm for a 2:00pm launch.FREE bike decorations available while supplies last!
