Decatur High Performance Building Standards Training

Time: 4:30pm for Contractors, and 6pm for Residents & Business Owners

The City of Decatur is reaching out to all builders and contractors who have previously done work in the City of Decatur to participate in a training session for the newly adopted High Performance Building Standards. This new standard requires any newly constructed residential and commercial buildings as well as some commercial renovations to be certified under an existing green building program starting in November, 2015. Under the new standards, contractors and property owners will be able to choose which program they wish to use, and the certification level that works for them. The standard to be applied to residential substantial improvements will follow in the winter of 2016.
